Welcome back to the Minkology blog, folks! One phrase we hear tossed around a lot by the customers who walk into our shop nestled right in the heart of Downtown Asheboro, North Carolina, is, “Wow, it smells amazing in here!” This week, we’re serving up a deep dive into all the products that give Minkology its signature scent—because, indeed, our selection of candles, detergents, air fresheners, room sprays, and bath and body products combine to create a delectable fragrance that is impossible not to love!

Greenwich Bay Trading Company is one of the longest-standing staple brands here at Minkology, offering a wide range of spa essentials and operating right out of Raleigh, North Carolina. Their bath and body offerings include pump hand soaps and lotions, bar soaps, body butter, body powders, exfoliating scrubs, essential oil-based soaps, and more. Year-round, we offer discounts on some of our customers’ favorite products: $1.00 off on purchases of three small bar soaps, $1.50 off on purchases of three small lotions, and $3.00 off on purchases of three large bar soaps. These discounts are stackable, and you can mix and match your favorite fragrances!

Next up is Tyler Candle Company, another longtime favorite here at Minkology. Don’t let the brand’s name fool you—Tyler sells much more than just candles. Their laundry detergent is one of our most popular products, especially in the bestselling fragrances Diva and High Maintenance, closely followed by Entitled, French Market, and Icon. We also sell Tyler wax melts, room and linen sprays, laundry sachets, and Autoglams. With over twenty scents to peruse at Minkology, you’re certain to find the perfect luxury fragrance to add a signature touch to your home.

However, if you are on the market for the perfect candle, either for yourself or a loved one, we have many, many brands to choose from! Proudly operated out of Kernersville, North Carolina, Sweet Wick Candle Company crafts candles using 100% locally-sourced soy wax and cotton wicks. 1803 Candles, Sweet Water Décor, and Aqua de Soi, and the Raleigh-based HartDesignCo are our other go-to candle brands here at Minkology, offering both seasonal and year-round fragrances. Be sure to swing by the shop to grab a fall-scented candle—like 1803’s Hocus Pocus, or Sweet Water Décor’s Fresh Apple Blossom—before they sell out this season!

Also contributing to the signature Minkology scent are bath and body products, a category of goods we’ve recently been working to expand in the shop. One of our newest bestselling brands is Spongellé, a line of body soap-infused sponges for bathing. This summer, we also began stocking Saratoga bar soaps, beautifully handcrafted (and environmentally friendly!) with natural plant oils and butters, and Sudz Cauldron, an organic line of non-toxic solid bar haircare specially designed to protect and nourish natural curls.
